2.81 Miles - More butterflies, slime molds, and fungi

Today after work I stopped at a newer county park I'd only been to once before earlier this spring. It was surprisingly big with more extensive wooded trails than I expected in the middle of farm fields!

The was a range of habitats from wildflower meadows to forest to woodland ponds. This allowed me go back and forth from chasing butterflies to inspecting rotting logs for microscopic life to bird watching for hours!

Thanks for following along as I hike this summer in preparation for Pelotonia, combining my loves of hiking, nature, writing, and supporting life-saving cancer research. As I did in June, I’ll be making a July donation towards my fundraising goal based on the number of miles I hike in July! If you’d like to support my goal, donate here: https://www.pelotonia.org/profile/AW975358
