1.25 Miles - Butterflies!

Yesterday’s hike was completed while I participated in the North American Butterfly Association’s Fourth of July Butterfly Count. It was hot and of course we were out in the middle of the day so the butterflies would also be out. The count was a bit lower than usual, but I still had a great time with lovely people and the beauty of nature. Please enjoy some photos from my day at Malabar Farm State Park and a friend’s property nearby.

I also couldn’t help but stop to enjoy some slime molds on decaying logs in the woods!
